Connecticut is a New England State located in the northeastern shore between New York, Massachusetts and Rhode Island. It is third smallest states in the US (Delaware and Rhode Island are smaller). Despite its small size Connecticut is one of the most historic states in the country. Connecticut is also known as "The Constitution State" because of its important contribution to the U.S. Constitution. The "Connecticut  Compromise" was a proposed solution to insure all states had equal representation in the senate. Connecticut was the 5th state to sign the constitution. Connecticut is rich with history from its 1788 statehood and involvement in the American Revolution. For more historical information about check CT's Historical Societies.
